“Raising and educating a child was never meant to be solitary work — and it isn’t here either. We carry our ancestors’ wisdom forward, for the generations still to come.”
Who We Are…
About Archiquette Education
Archiquette Education was founded in Washington, DC, by Jordan Kerstetter, (M.Ed., AMI Certified). She has a career centered around early childhood education, special education, and Primary Montessori. Jordan has more than 20 years of classroom leadership, child development expertise, and family coaching experience. She is ready to bring her decades of refining early childhood principles, directly to families.
The Meaning in the Name
Archiquette Education is built on a profound family legacy—one that bridges ancestral wisdom with modern learning.
The name honors my grandmother, a proud Oneida woman, and carries forward a piece of Haudenosaunee heritage I hold close: the Seventh Generation principle. In our tradition, this is a nation-specific foundation for the belief that raising children is the shared work of elders, extended family and community, not just parents. It teaches that our actions today must serve a sustainable, harmonious world seven generations into the future—a reminder to treat one another as a legacy borrowed from those not yet born.
That same spirit lives naturally alongside the Montessori philosophy we practice. Both traditions hold a deep respect for the child and share the core belief that a child develops best within a community, never apart from it.
